Hmmm....what's new...Well pretty much nothing.

I have the WORST cold I have had since I lived in Whitby last year. For five days I've been coughing so bad that I can't sleep at night. I've been taking cough syrup with codeine and it's having absolutely NO effect. I slept on 3 pillows the other night because it was the only thing that kept me from coughing endlessly. But geez did my neck and head hurt the next morning!

I couldn't go to choir tonight because I still have laryngitis. So I was going to have a quiet night at home.

I've got a great view of the sliver of moon out my window. It's nice outside right now. I have my window open a crack to let some fresh air in. It's not cold just the right temperature. The best nights are those nights when the moon is full and I can open my blinds and the moonlight streams in and lights up the whole room.

Right now I'm reading No Great Mischief by Alistair McLeod. In the book he talks about the moon and calls it 'lochran aigh nam bochd' which is Gaelic for "Lamp of the Poor". When you think of it in those terms it sounds sad however all you need to do is look at the moon and see it's beauty and realize it's not sad. For those who have no need of it's light to get by then they might miss it's beauty.
